MEET TEAM DSC^® – JARED BAZZELL, SUPERINTENDENT

Did you know that at one time, Superintendent Jared Bazzell was the only Desert Star Construction employee to have ever jumped out of a plane? That is… until he blew his record by convincing some of his DSC coworkers to join him.

Did you also know that 2014 marks his 10^th year as an integral member of Team DSC^®?

Our strong sense of camaraderie is Jared’s favorite part of his job. Today he’s responsible for managing day–to–day project leadership details with his entire team of trade contractors, suppliers, and co–workers as well as monitoring schedules, budgets, and quality control.

DSC @ THE NAHB INTERNATIONAL BUILDERS’ SHOW

Sustainability Programs Manager Jeremy Meek and DSC President Jerry Meek took a trip out to Las Vegas, Nevada this past January to attend the NAHB International Builder’s Show (IBS). Over 75,000 building industry professionals attended this diverse showcase featuring over 1500 exhibitors, 80+ speakers, and an impressive array of building, technology, and sustainability classes, workshops, and lectures. They also got a chance to meet up with their friends and partners from the National Custom Builders Council (NCBC).

The highlight of the tradeshow for both Jerry and Jeremy was touring the 31^st National Association of Home Builder’s (NAHB) New American Home in neighboring Henderson, Nevada.
