Created as the homeowners’ third custom home built by Desert Star Construction, The Ambassador stands today as a true legacy residence.
All living spaces were carefully curated to pay homage to the clients’ previous DSC homes, carrying forth the charm and familiarity they love to share, while enhancing their new residence to be even better and smarter than ever before.
The French Country and Provincial features transport the home to another time and place. Elements of European architecture, antique fixtures, and personal keepsakes collected over many years of travel set the stage for life’s precious moments – live music being played on a grand piano in the library, a meal prepared for grandchildren on a kitchen island salvaged from their earlier home, and laughter shared with loved ones as the desert breeze flows through open French doors in the great room. Once outside, the expansive stone patio and hand-chiseled loggia open to the majestic rise of Camelback Mountain.
Making full use of their new space, a vintage train board encased study is positioned just steps from the backyard patio. This private sanctuary allows the homeowner to focus on important tasks without having to leave the comfort of his home.
New technology, new materials and new sustainability features were incorporated into the home, bringing its efficiency to Certified LEED Silver certification. Systems were put in place only if they made sense for the homeowners’ lifestyle, including energy-smart appliances, a highly efficient cooling system, a fertigation system and a hidden solar array. Today the homeowners enjoy their home at a fraction of the cost to operate when compared with other luxury homes.
Our aim with The Ambassador was to achieve the same high standard of quality and value while improving upon what the homeowners loved most about the homes we had built for them before – their beauty, Old World charm and smart efficiency.
