Team DSC® had the great opportunity to tour through the 31st National Association of Home Builder’s (NAHB) New American Home in Henderson, Nevada as part of the annual International Builders’ Show (IBS) 2014 held in January.

The home features a variety of contemporary leaning design styles by Architect Berkus Design and Interior Designer Marc-Michaels Interior Design. Various elements of the home are geared towards multi-generational and adaptive living. Lots of clean lines are incorporated throughout without causing the design to become so sterile that it doesn’t feel like “home.” A progressively open Master Suite provided some impressive and quite original inspiration.

We’re excited to see the strong similarity to some of the homes we have completed recently that some designers are dubbing “transitional contemporary.” Many of the same advanced products that DSC is already using have been incorporated into the New American Home.

Viewing this production-level custom home reassured us of the high quality and detailing being provided by DSC to our clients. What our contemporaries are able to accomplish in the deserts of Nevada show how truly privileged we are to live and work in the Phoenix area. We appreciate the opportunity to see this remarkable project being built in our neighboring southwest desert city.
