Silverleaf 1606

Cradled by 360-degree views of the lush McDowell Mountain ranges and a breathtaking lookout high above a thriving desert metropolis, this illustrious DC Ranch home blends seamless indoor-outdoor spaces leading to a series of covered patios and outdoor retreats to eloquently frame the surrounding beauty of the desert.

Our objective was to create a luxury residence that would express architecture through intentional sightlines and optimized spatial quality. Centralized and open, active living spaces link the more intimate master and guest wings, which flank the entry courtyard and follow the natural ridge of the desert topography. Rural Mediterranean exteriors blend seamlessly with Belgian aesthetics to enhance the interior living space with an elegant palate of light colors, smooth textures, and clean lines, all of which will allow the homeowner to lead a very busy lifestyle in harmony with the peaceful ambiance of a gracefully simple abode.

To advance sustainability, the home will pursue LEED Silver certification. Human interaction with the Sonoran Desert presents the greatest opportunity; portals of elevated living spaces visually link the home with the surrounding preserve, while integrated sustainability initiatives realize man’s relationship with the immediate landscape. Natural washes and mountainous topography allow us to maximize the benefits of solar power, shaded cooling, and natural light. Premium “green” technology, materials, and initiatives will be integrated throughout the design and build of this custom residence to accomplish excellence in both luxury and sustainability.
