The Statesman

Old World inspiration and modern green building crescendo in this Italian Villa–an estate that is sophisticated enough to entertain statesmen yet comfortable enough to surrender to grandchildren. From a true partnership of homeowner, builder, architect, interior designer and vendors, this Arizona custom home’s aura of authenticity stretches from roof (which is covered with reclaimed tiles) to floor (which is graced with antique terra cotta.) Wood planks on the living room ceiling hail from a Chicago meat packing plant and wood trusses were imported from France. The structure itself also uses Rastra, a recycled material offering superior eco-friendly insulation and fire rating. Outdoor spaces are peppered with Loggias, a centerpiece pool and a seamless mix of lawns, water features, gardens and vineyards. The result is a timeless property that’s worthy of marveling.
